This is game, set, match for the Democrats. I know President Trump likes to call them the “do nothing Democrats”, but in this case they may have done a bit too much with this sham impeachment effort of theirs. Nancy Pelosi tried warning everyone that this wouldn’t be a good idea, but they forced her into retreat and went ahead with it anyway. Now it’s costing them dearly. It will definitely cost them the 2020 Presidential race, but I am hoping that it costs them a solid decade of having any chance at majority status in any of the three branches.
They certainly deserve that at the very least. I think the entire party should be officially dissolved and a new left wing organization, with fresh leadership starts a new party. Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and Hakeem Jefferies should be jailed and their law licenses should be forfeit.
Ok, that last part might be wishful thinking, and jailing other political leaders is a slippery slope. Those are things they would do. We can’t stoop to their level. (Rep. Rashida Tlaib already publicly claimed to have researched the possibility of arresting and jailing Attorney General Bob Barr).
Jailing politicians aside, its hard to ignore the levels Democrat leaders have sunk to throughout the “ordeal” that has been the Trump Presidency. These officials are seemingly deserving of a punishment beyond just losing the executive branch for the 2nd year in a row, which is all but certain come November 2020.
