I found this post at this incredible blogspot site “Hidden and little known places” that features dozens of rarely talked about and mysterious archeological ruins from around the world. This “cave system” in Nepal is just one of them.
People will automatically assume that these are ancient “rock cut” structures that were dug out by by Neolithic man in the remote past. While they must certainly date to the remote past, I do not believe these are structures that were built by burrowing into the living rock as most assume. These appear to be the heavily eroded shells of giant ancient buildings. Perhaps even the tops of sky scrapers like th+e channel “Wise Up” postulated as the nature of much of ruins found in Mesoamerica.

Thousands of man-made caves have been found dug into a cliff so large that it dwarfs the Grand Canyon. The caves were either dug directly into the hillside or tunneled from above and who made them and why remains a mystery. 10,000 of these caves have been discovered which makes the cliff resemble a giant “sand castle”.
