I found this great Russian journal that went into great detail on the issue of trying to explain how so many of these hard-to-explain megalithic structures that we see around the world were initially formed. It postulates that much of the stone had been rendered into a putty-like state before being formed. In some cases by design, in other cases as a result of some kind of catastrophic event that created intense heat(e.g. solar flare).
Personally I believe there to be some truth in both of those theories, however I recently begun to gravitate more towards the theory that many of these stone structures were not originally stone at all and have been petrified over enormous spans of time. I also think that many of the larger stone edifices that appear to be “rock-cut” surfaces are actually imprints of large metal machines or other types of structures that had settled up against the earth after some kind of catastrophe and the material pressed up against it hardened and petrified over time, while the original artifact/machine/structure that was made of metal(or anything), ended up rusting away, leaving only the imprint and what looks like a rock-cut surface.
There are so many anomalous megalithic rock structures of so many varying types of form that we would likely need to use ALL theories aforementioned in order to explain everything we see in the world of hard-to-explain megalithic structures.
In my humble opinion, I theorize that at multiple points in our remote past, what were extremely technologically advanced human civilizations, had the misfortune of enduring a series of catastrophic natural disasters that ended up melting and thoroughly burying much of the urban sprawl that made up the infrastructure of their mighty culture at the time. One of these civilization-annihilating events seems to have taken place in the not-so-distant past and triggered our most recent “reset” event. We see evidence from Mesoamerican to India and even in Utah that shows a massive architectural infrastructure that’s been thoroughly buried underneath the earth, covered in scars from heat scorching.
One of my favorite channels “Wise Up” has put forth the notion that the pyramid structures we see across Mesoamerica were never originally the step-pyramid edifices that archeologists have rebuilt them to appear as, but rather the remains of collapsed skyscrapers that have been mostly buried. Only the very tops of these ancient are visible today and sticking up out of the ground for tourists to gawk at. Much of the “megalithic stone work” that is attributed to the Maya was never actually stone work to begin with, but rather the petrified remains of wooden and concrete structures.
