– THE SINGULARITY IS NEAR
Becoming one with a machine is not a glamorous or enjoyable prospect as so many of these eccentric Silicon Valley geeks might have you believe. Our consciousness was designed to operate within the substrate of our tissue based biological brains, at least for the time being until our creator decides to move it along to the next place that you deserve to be migrated to upon death. It was not designed to be uploaded into a bootleg simulation of our holographic reality matrix. Your brain was not meant to be partially synthesized with some kind of nueral implant and then networked into a A.I. hivemind built upon nanotechnology that’s been serendipitously implanted into the general population. You are only asking for trouble and inviting untold horror. You’ll end up like Tom Cruise in “Vanilla Sky” or Jeff Goldblum in “The Fly”. Screaming for tech support or lurching around as a grotesque deformed beast.
I certainly wouldn’t volunteer for any beta testing. In Revelation 9:6 God makes it very clear what the fate of those foolish enough to have merged with a machine(I’m assuming this is what he was referring to) will be:
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. -REVELATION 9:6-
Besides, “Westworld” already did a soft disclosure of sorts on the viability of “consciousness uploading” technology and hinted to us that each time they attempted to upload the consciousness of an individual into a synthetic vessel, the resulting synthetic cognition would eventually end up malfunctioning and the individual would essentially break down. They described it as “The brain rejecting the reality around it”. I’m not sure what Season 4 has is store as far as following up on this particular theme. But as of right now, there are only a million reasons to assume that tinkering with the brain by changing the substrate of your consciousness or using technology that renders you into a cyborg, are atrocious ideas. Unfortunately it looks like we are being infected with nanotech without our permission anyway. They’re not supposed to break Natural Law like that. The consequences for those who are doing this will be staggering.
